ASK DR. SCHELLING DEAR DR. SCHELLING, My older dog has been acting really slow and stiff. She refuses to jump into the car. I thought she might be in pain, but she’s not yelping or whining. What should I do? -Jason |

Dear Jason, Dogs communicate how they feel through their appearance and actions. Don't wait for her to yelp or whine. Your dog could be suffering from arthritis, back trouble, or another medical condition. She should see the vet as soon as possible. (And don't give her any people medicine in the meantime). Max's Mini-Reviews SPRING ROLL : Finally a spring roll I can have! It may not be like the food but this toy definitely has bite! Bounce it, roll it, toss it—this toy can do it all and its crazy movements keep me on all four paws. Humans, you can keep your spring rolls, this one is all mine. WETNOZ URBAN DISH : The Wetnoz Urban Dish is stylish and sturdy with its rubber ring bottom to prevent the dish from skidding when I'm enjoying a particularly delicious meal.
