Dear Max, Why is a dog’s nose cold and wet? If my dog’s nose is warm and dry, does that mean she’s sick? –Angela, Philadelphia, PA Dear Angela, People commonly think they can judge if we’re healthy by touching our noses. This is actually a misconception. We use our wet noses to sniff, nuzzle, and give our beloved humans the wet willies. But our nose is not a good barometer for when we’re sick.
